No head circumference update yet. Nurse Maureen reports that Max has had a few desats (remember that he's off of his canula now).
The big news of course is that Max delivered another Christmas Stool for us at his 9:00 PM diaper change. He is "appropriately annoyed" with Nurse Maureen when she changes his diaper. His caffeine dose is now delivered orally, mixed in with his milk.
Just to be clear: Max, a newborn infant, is getting a couple of lattes per day. We can laugh about it now, but of course it's an important therapeutic treatment for preemies who have trouble remembering to breath.
Max passed another milestone, completing his sixth week in the NICU.

Max was born in October 2008 at Georgetown University Hospital. After more than four months at GUH, Max moved to the HSC Pediatric Center in March 2009. He came home six months after he was born, in April 2009.
